 The Washington State University College of Nursing has hired Carl Paukstis as an information systems coordinator and Brooke Ledeboer as a development director. Paukstis was previously the vice president of information systems for the Healthcare Resource Group and has more than 30 years of experience in software development and information technology. Ledeboer was the advancement director for Eastern Washington University College of Science, Health and Engineering and has more than 10 years of experience in higher education development, major gifts, annual giving and alumni relations.

 Susan K. Wright has received the 2014 Administrative Professional Contribution Award from Washington State University Spokane in recognition of her contributions as an administrative professional employee. Wright is an assessment analyst in the WSU College of Pharmacy’s Assessment Office.

Engineering

 KJ Hanley has joined Taylor Engineering Inc. as a senior project engineer. Hanley has experience in public works engineering, grant writing and small municipality consulting.

Finance

 The National Association of Credit Management has named Sheryl Rasmusson as a recipient of the Certified Business Associate Designation of Excellence Award. Rasmusson is an office manager at Kilgore Architectural Products Inc.

Health care

 Shriners Hospitals for Children-Spokane has presented Ginger Bennett with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses in recognition of overall nursing excellence.

 Maggie Rowe has received the 2014 Golden Heart Award from the American Childhood Cancer Organization Inland Northwest in recognition of her work within pediatric oncology. Rowe is a pediatric oncology social worker at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital.

Law

 Caitlin R. Prunty has joined the Law Office of John H. Guin, PLLC as an associate attorney. Prunty practices construction law, commercial litigation and environmental law, and handles zoning and land-use matters. She is a 2013 graduate of the Gonzaga University School of Law.

Miscellaneous

 Embassy Management LLC has promoted Michelle Weaver from chief development officer to chief operating officer. Weaver has 15 years experience in the human services industry. Embassy has also hired Sean Lyman as chief financial officer, Lisa Tackus as chief development officer and Nancy Williams as director of human resources. Prior to joining Embassy, Lyman was chief financial officer at American Optical Services in Las Vegas and Sound Physicians in Tacoma. Tackus was previously the chief operating officer for Florida-based Camelot Community Care. Williams was previously with Safeway for more than 20 years.

Nonprofit

 Richard Repp, of Witherspoon Kelley, has been named chairman of the board for the Spokane Club. Board officers have been announced as follows: Nancy Vorhees of Inland Northwest Health Services, vice chair/chair-elect; Pam Lund of Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, treasurer; and Latisha Hill of Avista, secretary. Trustees are Ann Marie Axworthy, Patrick Devries, Trish McFarland, Dean Reynolds and Eva Roberts.

 Inland Northwest Land Trust received the following grants: $40,000 from an anonymous foundation via the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro; $5,000 from the Land Trust Alliance; $5,000 from the Johnston-Fix Foundation; $15,000 from the Inland Northwest Community Foundation for the Latah Creek Watershed Conservation Project. The Trust has also appointed Michael Currin, of Witherspoon Kelley, to the board of directors.

 Backyard Harvest received a $1,500 grant from the Gladys E. Langroise Advised Fund, Unrestricted Northern Region in the Idaho Community Foundation, and a $1,600 grant from the Latah County Community Foundation to benefit the nonprofit’s community orchard program.

 Tami Quezada has joined Team Idaho Real Estate as a sales associate specializing in residential real estate.

 Etailz has hired Shawn Rosman as an inventory specialist, James Clark as a graphic designer and Josh Warren as a first to market associate.

 Chad Schmidt, Mike Lisonbee and Dan Holden have joined the Northwest Enterprise Sales team at CenturyLink. Schmidt is the regional sales manager for Eastern Washington. He was previously the regional sales manager at XO Communications. Lisonbee is the lead enterprise account manager. He has telecommunications and cloud hosting sales experience and also was previously with XO Communications. Holden is the strategic GES account manager. He has experience in the telecommunications industry and was a senior account director at Alcatel-Lucent.

Technology

 Ricky Hernandez has joined the Spokane office of PayneWest Insurance as a network support technician. Hernandez has two years experience as a contractor in the information technology industry.
